Description
Boskim Base is a based coat cementitious filling and levelling plaster for concrete surfaces. It is used as a thin plaster for levelling and finishing the uneven surfaces. Boskim Base consists of finely crushed white marble/ dolomite, cement, fine graded silica sand aggregates and Boskim aid which consist of alkali resistant additives. Recommended thickness is 2mm to 4mm. After application of Boskim Base, the surfaces shall be applied with Boskim Finish in order to achieve a smooth and flat finishes. Recommended uses
• Can be used on vertical, overhead and non-traffic bearing horizontal surfaces.
• Can be applied to precast and formed concrete, regular and lightweight block, brick, stone, stucco, granite, and other concrete and masonry surfaces.
• Typical applications are bridges, parapets, parking garages, tunnels, silos, basements, and building walls.

• It may be used on interior or exterior, above or below grade applications. Use as an alternative for rubbing of concrete surfaces to hide defects and blemishes in architectural concrete.

suRFACE preparation
The surface to be plastered must be clean and free from dust, oil, paint, grease and other contaminants. It is good practice to dampen the dry absorbent surface before application of Boskim Base. Holes or cracks more than 4mm deep shall be patched and repaired before application.

Application Instruction
MIXING Pour the required water into a suitable container then gradually add Boskim Base while stirring. Mix continuously for about 5 minutes until a smooth, creamy consistency is obtained. Use immediately after mixing.

Placing
Apply the mixed Boskim Base onto the substrate with a trowel and levelled off to a smooth finish with a spatula.

PRECAUTION
• Boskim Base should not be used when the temperature is below 5o C or above 35oC.
• New concrete surfaces must be cured for at least 14 days prior to application of Boskim Base.
• To avoid rapid dehydration and moisture loss during the setting process, protect the product from direct sunlight and winds for up to 24 hours.
• Substrate cracks caused by movement will be reflected on Boskim finishes

clean up
Boskim Base should be removed from tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use.

STORAGE ANd SHELF LIFE
Store material in cool and dry condition. The shelf life of this product is 12 months from the date of manufacturing if stored properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
This product contains cement. Cement products are classified as hazardous under General Health and Safety guidelines. Avoid inhalation of dust or contact with skin or eyes. Suitable protection clothing, dust masks, gloves and eye protection should be worn. Continual or extended contact with cement products may cause skin irritation. If skin irritation occurs, flush skin with water for a minimum of 15 minutes. If irritation still persist, consult medical advises. For more information, refer to Material Safety Data Sheet.
